An eye for the story

Freelance Journalist and Editor

Over 20 years' experience

My training and work as a journalist and editor has developed in me a capacity to absorb and process new and complex information quickly. I might not have had experience in your particular industry or activity, but will do my research thoroughly, ask the right questions and learn fast.

As a journalist, I have to ensure factual accuracy, balanced input, a relevant story and plenty of self-editing. These skills stand me in good stead for high-quality marketing communications and I am also available as a freelance journalist for English language publications and media.

Most of my experience is with the trade press and B2B media. I have written for company publications, glossy industry magazines, supplements, news websites, exhibition and trade fair newspapers, staff newsletters and more. Pieces range from the shortest news flash to multiple-page reports.

Some of the industries I have covered in my career include: maritime and shipping, cruise and river cruise, audiology, health and wellbeing, satcomms, product reviews, dance and theatre arts, faith and religion, African fashion, personal interviews and more...

I'm also an eagle-eyed proofreader!
